In the past two years, various TV shows have given magic birth to some idols of the young in China, among whom last year’s “supergirls” are unlikely to be neglected. It is no exaggeration that their overnight success has become the talk of the whole society. Numerous teenagers are enthusiastically following their examples by attending TV singing contests.
This trend gives rise to much discussion. It is assumed by some people that such TV shows make it possible for the common people to become superstars, which is otherwise an extremely tough task. However, others frown on young students’ participation in these programs. It is held that the primary concern of adolescents should be school activities rather than social activities. Besides, such TV shows may lead some teenagers to be under the illusion that there is a shortcut to success and be unwilling to work hard, which will exert a bad influence on the society.
In my satellite direct reviews , it is absolutely unadvisable for teenagers to appear on the TV shows, wearing grown-up expressions. They should put study above anything else because adolescence is a crucial age for their education. What really matters in one’s life is not short-lived early success but real competency.

the most distant way in the world

The most distant way in the world

The most distant way in the world

is not the way from birth to the end.

it is when i sit near you

that you don’t understand i love u.

The most distant way in the world

is not that you’re not sure i love u.

It is when my love is bewildering the soul

but i can’t speak it out.

The most distant way in the world

is not that i can’t say i love u.

it is after looking into my heart

i can’t change my love.

The most distant way in the world

is not that i’m loving u.

it is in our love

we are keeping between the distance.

The most distant way in the world

is not the distance across us.

it is when we’re breaking through the way

we deny the existance of love.

So the most distant way in the world

is not in two distant trees.

it is the same rooted branches

can’t enjoy the co-existance.

So the most distant way in the world

is not in the being sepearated branches.

it is in the blinking stars

they can’t burn the light.

So the most distant way in the world

is not the burning stars.

it is after the light

they can’t be seen from afar.

So the most distant way in the world

is not the light that is fading away.

it is the coincidence of us

is not supposed for the love.

So the most distant way in the world

is the love between the fish and bird.

one is flying at the sky,

the other is looking upon into the sea.

Plastic Surgery

The tragic death of the former Super Girl contestant Wang Bei has already caused broad attention.

Wang Bei just wanted to jumpstart her showbiz career by plastic surgery. But It’s a pity that she died under the knife and at such a young age.The only thing we can do is to express our sorrow over her death. But the tragedy rings the warning bell for us.

Nowadays, people are living better and longer. In order to keep young and beautiful,Many people, especially women are willing to spend money on their apprearance. It’s understandable that love of beauty is human’s nature.Everybody wants to have double eyelids,an aquiline nose and a pointed chin. There’s no doubt that good looking may bring confidence, love, good mood, even a good job. It’s no one’s fault to pursue beauty, but It’s a fault to pursue beauty blindly.

Upon reflection,no one can stay ever young as the seasons go.In my opinion,a young and healthy heart is much better than an unrealistic but good looking.

Buddhist music sharing

Recently I like buddhist music in China very much. When the sweet music sounds near my ears, the great melody surrounds me closely, my heart is beaten so deeply. As if the beautiful view spread ahead of me, the world is silent, except the tide is flowing and ebbing, seabirds fly in the sky freely. At the depths of the sea, the locus is blooming in the sun, sending the bright sunshine. What a beautiful scene and music they are. I recommend the song named ‘Locus blooms anywhere’, the singer is Mrs.Qiyu. She is a famous singers. I believe you know her borther Qiqin. Now follow me to enjoy the time.

My Forever Valentine

The traditional holidays in our house when I was a child were spent timing elaborate meals around football games. My father tried to make pleasant chitchat and eat as much as he could during half time. At Christmas he found time to have a cup or two of holiday beer and do his holly shaped bow tie. But he didn’t truly shine until Valentine’s Day.

I don’t know whether it was because work at the office slowed during February or because the football season was over. But Valentine’s Day was the time my father chose to show his love for the special people in his life. Over the years I fondly thought of him as my “Valentine Man.”

My first recollection of the magic he could bring to Valentine’s Day came when I was six. For several days I had been cutting out valentines for my classmates. Each of us was to decorate a “mailbox” and put it on our desk for others to give us cards. That box and its contents ushered in a succession of bittersweet memories of my entrance into a world of popularity contests marked by the number of cards received, the teasing about boyfriends/girlfriends and the tender care I gave to the card from the cutest boy in class.

That morning at the breakfast table I found a card and a gift-wrapped package at my chair. The card was signed “Love, Dad.” and the gift was a ring with a small piece of red glass and rubies to a child of six, and I remember wearing that ring with a pride that all the cards in the world could not surpass.

As I grew older, the gifts gave way to heart shaped boxes filled with my favorite chocolates and always included a special card signed “Love, Dad.” In those years my thank-yous became more of a perfunctory response. The cards seemed less important, and I took for granted the valentine that would always be there. Long past the days of having a “mailbox” on my desk, I had placed my hopes and dreams in receiving cards and gifts from “signifiant others,” and “Love, Dad” just didn’t seem quite enough.

If my father knew then that he had been replaced, he never let it show. If he sensed any disappointment over valentines that didn’t arrive for me, he just tried that much harder to create a positive atmosphere, giving me an extra hug and doing what he could to make my day a little brighter.

My mailbox eventually had a rural addres, and the job of hand delivering candy and cards was relegated to the U.S. Potal Service. Never in ten years was my father’s package late nor was it on the Valentine’s Day eight years ago when I reached into the mailbox to find a card addressed to me in my mother’s handwriting.

It was the kind of card that put a lump in your throat and tears in your eyes because you knew the person no longer was able to go out and buy a real valentine. It was a card that signaled this would be the last you would receive from him.

The card had a photograph of tulips on the outside, and on the inside my mother had printed “Happy Valentine’s Day.” Beneath it, scrawled in barely legible handwriting was “Love, Dad.”

His final card remains on my bulletin board today. It’s a reminder of how special fathers can be and how important it has been to me over the years to know that I had a father who continued a tradition of love with a generosity of spirit, simple acts of understanding and an ability to express happiness over the people in his life.

Those things never die, nor does the memory of a man who never stopped being my valentine.

You might wonder how your average-earning income neighbors can afford being on holiday trips of travel and leisure almost every other month. They seem to tell stories about getting the best accommodations and still manage to go about their daily business everyday without suffering any episodes of getting broke. You might secretly want to find out how they manage to travel and stay within their budget.

If you are too embarrassed to get into your neighbor’s business, then there is a simple answer to your question. Travel magazines actually offer special discounts and promos to their subscribers that no other traveling agency can ever get their hands into. So you might be wondering what is a travel magazine?

Simply, it is a magazine that is focused on traveling. They have destinations, hotel and restaurant reviews, suggested activities and other related topics that any traveler would want to find about. Traveling for this magazine is a away of living and so it attempts to compile all necessary information of top class tours, hotels, destinations, and other travel matters.

This magazine came from the inspired compilations of photographers, writers, poets, and other people who have been touched by their visited places. Photographers used to tour around the world to cover news or events but has also taken photos in their local project locations. They took the initiative to get their inspired photos to publishers. Some writers also tend to travel to find their special spot where they can write. Usually staying in there for some time, they tend to write about the local accommodations in the area. Other artists also tend to paint or sculpt in an area that has never been heard of but is now being promoted by them. Celebrities also give some of their opinions in travel magazine about their jet setting destinations.

All of these contributors and with the magazine staff create a wonderfully made practical guide in the form of magazine. Hard to find deals in any area seem to become easy with the information spread on the magazine pages that can benefit the seasoned or novice traveler.

Aside from informative help, these type of magazine also help educate readers about the issues of their topic destination. Like in some parts of Africa, the issue of hunger, disease, and political issues have been exposed by traveling magazines. The public helpful response to the poor condition of the continent has been overwhelming. Travel magazine has helped in spreading awareness of some of the world’s most neglected places.

There are also some perks in subscribing in travel magazine. You will have a chance in winning promos and other special offers that you cannot normally afford in your average income capacity. You also get to see the many different places where the magazine staff have been. Its like being literally taken into another world just by flipping through the pages. Some magazine even have discount coupons that you can readily use in your next trip.

Magazine in traveling can really be helpful for starters and even more informative to the usual traveler. All you need is to subscribe, read, and then maybe later on travel wisely with your neighbors.

There are four main external influences that will affect the freshness of your gourmet coffee. These include air, heat, moisture and light. If your fresh gourmet coffee is exposed to any of these elements for a period of time, the freshness of the coffee grounds will quickly deteriorate. Each element affects the coffee in a certain way.

Air – When fresh gourmet coffee grounds are exposed to air, they tend to oxidize quicker than if they were kept in an air-tight container. The accelerated oxidization causes the gourmet coffee grounds to lose their fresh gourmet taste and become stale much quicker.

Heat and Light – After coffee is roasted, it continues to emit carbon dioxide and go through a natural chemical process that changes the coffee flavor over time. When exposed to great amounts of heat and light, the gourmet coffee grounds will cycle through this process much quicker and become rancid before you can use it all up.

Moisture – Adding moisture to gourmet coffee grounds, which can occur when you freeze or refrigerate them, is an excellent way to diminish the flavor of your coffee. Adding moisture can dilute the robustness of the grounds. It can also cause the tasty gourmet coffee grounds to spoil quicker.

Knowing that these key factors will harm your fresh gourmet coffee, you will want to protect the grounds as much as possible. There are simple steps that can be taken after you buy and store your gourmet coffee grounds that may help prolong the shelf life.

Your choice of storage container has a great impact on the freshness of your gourmet coffee. The best way to store your fresh gourmet coffee is in an air-tight opaque container. This helps to eliminate both air and light from the spoilage equation. If you leave the coffee in its original package, air and light may enter, especially if not sealed properly. This is one of the simplest ways to keep your coffee fresh.

Remember to store your coffee in a cool, dark area of your home. Cabinets or pantry’s are a good spot to put your unused gourmet coffee grounds. These places tend to be dark and aren’t located next to a stove or oven that can emit heat causing the fresh gourmet coffee to spoil fast.

It is also wise to reconsider the decision of keeping your coffee in the refrigerator or freezer. A refrigerator can produce a lot of humidity which will negatively affect your delicious gourmet coffee. When you freeze the coffee, the water molecules also freeze. When they thaw, the water condenses on the outside of the gourmet coffee grounds creating a weak, bad tasting flavor.

Finally, you may choose to purchase your coffee in individual coffee packets. Buying a full pound of ground gourmet coffee may be fresh in the beginning but has a better chance of spoiling before you can finish the whole pound. Single gourmet coffee packets contain the perfect amount of coffee for one pot or one serving. These packets can be conveniently purchased at many cheaper coffee distributors found online and can even be shipped right to your door! With single coffee packets, you are able to use only the amount of coffee necessary for one pot while keeping the rest in individually sealed packages for your next fresh pot.

When you follow these precautions every time you purchase your favorite gourmet coffee, you have a better chance of keeping it fresh and delicious longer than if you didn’t take the proper steps to keep it safe. This will ultimately save you money in the end because you won’t be wasting a large amount of the coffee you buy.

The Magical Coat

My l4-year-old son, John, and I spotted the coat simultaneously . It was hanging on a rack at a secondhand clothing store in Northampton Mass, crammed in with shoddy trench coats and an assortment of sad, woolen overcoats — a rose among thorns.

While the other coats drooped , this one looked as if it were holding itself up. The thick, black wool of the double-breasted chesterfield was soft and unworn, as though it had been preserved in mothballs for years in dead old Uncle Henry’s steamer trunk. The coat had a black velvet collar, beautiful tailoring, a Fifth Avenue label and an unbelievable price of $28. We looked at each other, saying nothing, but John’s eyes gleamed. Dark, woolen topcoats were popular just then with teenage boys, but could cost several hundred dollars new. This coat was even better, bearing that touch of classic elegance from a bygone era.

John slid his arms down into the heavy satin lining of the sleeves and buttoned the coat. He turned from side to side, eyeing himself in the mirror with a serious, studied expression that soon changed into a smile. The fit was perfect.

John wore the coat to school the next day and came home wearing a big grin . “Ho. did the kids like your coat?” I asked. “They loved it,” he said, carefully folding it over the back of a chair and smoothing it flat. I started calling him “Lord Chesterfield” and “The Great Gatsby.”

Over the next few weeks, a change came over John. Agreement replaced contrariness , quiet, reasoned discussion replaced argument. He became more judicious, more mannerly, more thoughtful, eager to please. “Good dinner, Mom,” he would say every evening.

He would generously loan his younger brother his tapes and lecture him on the niceties of behaviour; without a word of objection, he would carry in wood for the stove. One day when I suggested that he might start on homework before dinner, John — a veteran procrastinator – said, “You’re right. I guess I will.”

When I mentioned this incident to one of his teachers and remarked that I didn’t know what caused the changes, she said laughing. “It must be his coat!” Another teacher told him she was giving him a good mark not only because he had earned it but because she liked his coat. At the library, we ran into a friend who had not seen our children in a long time, “Could this be John?” he asked, looking up to John’s new height, assessing the cut of his coat and extending his hand, one gentleman to another.

John and I both know we should never mistake a person’s clothes for the real person within them. But there is something to be said for wearing a standard of excellence for the world to see, for practising standards of excellence in though, speech, and behaviour, and for matching what is on the inside to what is on the outside.

Sometimes, watching John leave for school, I’ve remembered with a keen sting what it felt like to be in the eighth grade — a time when it was as easy to try on different approaches to life as it was to try on a coat. The whole world, the whole future is stretched out ahead, a vast panorama where all the doors are open. And if I were there right now, I would picture myself walking through those doors wearing my wonderful, magical coat.

Enjoy Loneliness

I find it wholesome to be alone the greater part of the time. To be in company, even with the best, is soon wearisome and dissipating . I love to be alone. I never found the companion that was so companionable as solitude . We are for the most part more lonely when we go abroad among men than when we stay in our chambers. A man thinking or working is always alone, let him be where he will. Solitude is not measured by the miles of space that intervene between a man and his fellows. The really diligent student in one of the crowded hives of Cambridge College is as solitary as a dervish in the desert. The farmer can work alone in the field or the woods all day, hoeing( or chopping, and not feel lonesome, because he is employed; but when he comes home at night he cannot sit down in a room alone, at the mercy of his thoughts, but must be where he can see the folks and recreate, and, as he thinks, remunerate himself for his day’s solitude; and hence he wonders how the student can sit alone in the house all night and most of the day without ennui and the blues; but he does not realize that the student, though in the house, is still at work in his field, and chopping in his woods, as the farmer in his, and in turn seeks the same recreation and society that the latter does, though it may be a more condensed form of it.

Society is commonly too cheap. We meet at very short intervals, not having had time to acquire any new value for each other. We meet at meals three times a day, and give each other a new taste of that old musty cheese that we are. We have had to agree on a certain set of rules, called etiquette and politeness, to make this frequent meeting tolerable and that we need not come to open war. We meet at the post-office, and at the sociable, and about the fireside every night; we live thick and are in each other’s way, and stumble over one another, and I think that we thus lose some respect for one another. Certainly less frequency would suffice for all important and hearty communications. Consider the girls in a factory—never alone, hardly in their dreams. It would be better if there were but one inhabitant to a square mile, as where I live. The value of a man is not in his skin, that we should touch him.

I have a great deal of company in my house; especially in the morning, when nobody calls. Let me suggest a few comparisons, that some one may convey an idea of my situation. I am no more lonely than the loon in the pond that laughs so loud, or than Walden Pond itself. What company has that lonely lake, I pray?

And yet it has not the blue devils, but the blue angels in it, in the azure tint of its waters. The sun is alone, except in thick weather, when there sometimes appear to be two, but one is a mock sun. god is alone—but the devil, he is far from being alone; he sees a great deal of company; he is legion. I am no more lonely than a single mullein or dandelion in a pasture, or a bean leaf, or sorrel , or a horse-fly, or a bumblebee. I am no more lonely than the Millbrook, or a weathercock, or the north star, or the south wind, or an April shower, or a January thaw, or the first spider in a new house.

Sites such as Travelocity, Cheap Tickets, Orbitz, Expedia, and PriceLine are doing some dirty dealings according to the state of Montana. Taxes that are required to be paid on all transactions are being dodged by these companies when it comes to hotel booking. Hotel booking, like any other transaction, is required to have a tax paid on it. This eventually gets very confusing, so allow me to try and explain it a bit more simply.

For the sake of argument let’s say that Montana’s state tax rate is seven percent, which I think it actually is. Now, let’s say that you book a hotel through Orbitz that would normally cost you $100. Orbitz has a deal with this hotel and only charges you $75. Orbitz now only pays the tax on what you pay of $75, which is $5.25 instead of the tax on $100, which is $7.00 (a difference of $2.75). These sites pay their taxes on what is called a ‘reduced negotiated retail rate,’ which allows them to only charge taxes on that $75 instead of the $100. The amount of taxes that need to be made up may not seem like much, but if you figure that a large number of users frequent these sites, which they do, it adds up pretty quickly. The argument here is that Orbitz is not paying the taxes that they should. Even though it doesn’t seem like a whole hell of a lot, it really is. Of course, these companies are arguing against the claim.

First of all, the amount of money in question totals only to $100,000 in the state of Montana (bringing the total of unpaid taxes to under $700 depending on each individual transaction). Plus, the taxes being paid are not on what the customer doles out, but rather what the hotel receives in the transaction. Again, this gets very foggy after a while, but the basic argument of these travel sites is that they’re doing absolutely nothing wrong. The state government of Montana, on the other hand, thinks that they are owed some taxes.

Montana has already filed a lawsuit against Priceline.com, Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity and all subsidiaries. This case will likely be in court for a while and, quite honestly, I’d stay away from these companies for a while. It’s a menial amount of money, but something they’ll have to spend money on to keep. Who knows what this will do to the industry in Montana or the country at large. But, if I were you, I wouldn’t use them for quite a while. Instead, deal with MetroFlats, which is in no legal trouble at all! Sounds pretty good to me, don’t you think?
