Designing your t-shirt, especially when it is white, requires a lot of effort. First effort would include what to put in it. You may be thinking about intricate and sophisticated designs made from Adobe Photoshop. Your next effort would be putting it into the shirt. There are actually many ways to design your t-shirt in a creative way. This one, which I will share it to you, is extracted from my old T.L.E textbooks while I was in elementary. I’ve decided to try it out once again before posting it. And here is the result:
The steps are modified and written in my own words. Also, I’ve added extra measures, instructions and explanations.
What you need:
· A white shirt made of cotton
· 70% isopropyl rubbing alcohol
· Different colors of permanent markets; choose whatever you desire.
· Round jar or any container
· Tight rubber band that can cater the size of container’s mouth
· Medicine Dropper
Steps:
1. Put the jar underneath your white shirt. Place it in the area of shirt where you want your design to appear. Make sure it is over the mouth of the container and then secure it with the rubber band. Let it be unmovable.
2. Use the markers to mark a circular pattern or any designs in the center. If you choose your own design, use designs that you think it would not project a messy effect. It is better to read the whole procedure first before starting it.
3. Put some alcohol in a small bottle or a medicine dropper so you can control it better. Gently drip alcohol onto the center of your pattern. You should see the ink begin to spread outward! Keep dripping the alcohol until circle is the size you desire. Leave it to dry for about 10 minutes before starting a new cirlce in another spot.
