I am a firm believer in the existence of spirits. I do not doubt there are spiritual entities intermingling with us all the time. It’s been my experience that there are angels and demons, too. I will recount a couple of my own experiences in this essay, but I’d like to provide some background information first. Our modern world is filled with stories of ghosts, hauntings, possessions, and other occult experiences. Among the totally absurd fabrications from fantasy writers, there exists a basis of truth. Maybe I watch too many television shows on hauntings, but I can’t help laughing at most of them. Why do they all follow the same format? Turn out the lights, and lock them in a supposedly haunted place. After that it’s just a matter of time before the spooky stuff happens. Like we don’t all hear things and see things in the dark? Why doesn’t someone do the same show with the lights on, for goodness’ sake? It wouldn’t be any fun at all, that’s why. The shows make sure to prime the audience and get them ready to see some spirits. Then the lights go out, and well, what did you expect? things get scary. Nevertheless, there are genuine spiritual encounters which we can classify into distinctly different groups. I am not trying to be comprehensive here, so take this as a introduction to my encounters with the spirit world.
Spiritual Imprinting
There is a form of ghost encounter classified as “spiritual imprints” or psychic recordings (some investigators call then residuals.) This is the most common type of haunting reported. The theory postulates that people who have violent or traumatic experiences imprint their surroundings with a permanent “snip-it” of the experience or their life at the time of the experience. The theory assumes that an imprint is made on our world from a human’s psychic energy resulting from the traumatic experience. These people don’t have to die to leave an imprint on our world; they could fall down the stairs, have a car accident, or any near-death experience. Experiences like those cause a lot of psychic energy to be released from the people involved; so, the environment can be imprinted just like an image on photographic film. Spiritual imprinting is theorized to occur at the “quantum” level. At the quantum level, matter and energy do not behave the way we see in our regular material world. It’s like taking a photo in the dark. Without a flash, you won’t get much of an impression; but add a flash, and a portion of the image comes into view. Use a stronger flash , and we can see farther into the darkness. In a similar manner, depending on a person’s psychic strength or energy level, and the intensity of the experience, the strength of the impression left on the surroundings will vary. Psychically sensitive people, who have either a natural or developed psychic ability, can pick up on these quantum energy imprints. Different people experience these encounters in various ways, depending on how sensitive each person is and their individual psychic makeup. Hauntings of this type can cycle through a series of events that may have happened during the original trauma much like a scratched DVD which shows the same scene over and over, or they may flash the same image in the same location when certain triggers occur. These imprints are not ghosts as we commonalty think of them but are more like a movie of the person projected onto the environment or a slide still-shot projected into the air. These imprints cannot interact with living people like the ghosts we commonalty associate with a haunting. The imprint has no intelligence imbedded in it, so it is nothing more that a projection onto our environment, no different than one coming from a movie or slide projector.
The rage in the luxury world these days is ‘back to basics.’
Wealthy consumers don’t want flash and sizzle, they want authenticity, low-key practicality and craftsmanship. Conspicuous consumption is dead, we hear. No one wants to be pay to be noticed anymore. They want stealth wealth and comfortable shoes.
Or do they?
A new study from the Affluence Collaborative and Agency Sacks finds that wealthy consumers (those with $500,000 or more in income) are far more likely than others to want respect and attention from their purchases. When asked what needs are met by their favorite brand, nearly a third of the wealthy consumers agreed with the statement that ‘It allows me to feel a sense of accomplishment.’
Fully 28% agreed that their favorite brands ‘allow them to stand out from the crowd’ and 20% said the brands ‘command respect from others.’
Of course, that is a minority of respondents. But what is surprising is how the responses of the wealthy differ from the lesser-wealthy.
The affluent, or those with $200,000 to $499,000 in income (in light of the latest tax debates, we also could call them the ‘Obama wealthy’), were far less likely to spend to stand out from the crowd or get respect. Only 8% of the affluent said they shopped to command respect from others, compared with the 20% for the wealthy.
Across the board, the wealthy needed their favorite brands to fill far more needs in their life compared to the affluent-from ‘providing me with a sense of adventure’ to ‘making me feel reassured in a changing world.’
That is a tall order for a handbag or a watch.
Andrew Sacks, president of Agency Sacks, said the reason is that the wealthy have become consumer ‘separatists,’ who want to be treated differently, need special products and special service, and crave very personal recognition.
Even though many of them grew up middle class and built their own fortunes, they have quickly developed a strong sense of entitlement. Mr. Sacks calls it ‘earned entitlement.’
‘Just because they have middle class values and may not dress the part of wealth of old, their needs and demands are every bit as intense, and perhaps even more so as the value of the dollar is that much more important to them,’ he said.
Why do you think the wealthy have so many emotional needs from the stuff they buy?
Having seen so many disasters in this nation and all around the world, I firmly believe that the world is reaching its end. Right at the beginning of this rumour’s going out, I seek to convince the government but with so many catastrophes, my belief fades little by little. These Crop Circles are indicating something but a large amount of people among us still rely on the government. Let there be no doubt, if they are building that mysterious Noah’s Ark, will us be able to border that ship. We ordinary people could only select to wait for something.
I was always wondering who would be the one that accompany me till the end of my short living or nobody would appear to ease the tension right at this moment. I am never afraid of being alone, thought shaped in this way is because I do not intend to disappoint my family that should be formed in the years ahead. Once I wrote in my Chinese blog that I want to slip out of our mortal lives with a stranger’s hand in my palm to travel a long distance till an unknown corner of this world. You ask me why, I waited for you so long and you would like to leave with me. That is the reason.
You asked me just now why I canceled my ticket to World Expo. Without you nowhere else on earth could provide me a place to reat me body except that place you are waving to me in a gesture to give me a big welcome, meaning going with me forever. If today is the end, and you still find no place resting, I am wandering, will you be able to move back to my body like before.
I love you to the depth you cannot imagine.
This a CCVT news about Meteo World in Shanghai World Expo. It is very interesting. I did a dictation. The marks in red color are hard to figure out. You are welcomed to make it.
This is the meteorology pavillion, funded by the United Nation’s World Meteorological Organization. And that is the first Meteorology Pavilion in the history of the World Expo. The pavallion, dubbed the ‘cloud droplets’ , gives an in depth look into meteorology to visitors.

The weather has found a home at the Shanghai World Expo. This pavillion, resembling a white cloud, has a strong message for visitors : Climate change is real, and so is the carbon footprint of urbannization.
‘What you see now is the Chimate Change Gallery. Here we display many typical pitures showing climate and urban changes, from 15,000 years ago to now. It aims to let the visitors to know more about the period of the meteorological change.’
Using films, demonstrations of global observation systems in meteorological satellite models, visitors are given a real life glimpse of the effects of climate change. To give a clearer understanding of weather services, an Expo Meteorological Station was built inside the pavilion.
‘It is good, the movie is easy for children to understand.’
‘ I feel good. It’s high-tech.’ like satellite tv software .
The Meteo World Pavilion is promoting a healthy and clean urban lifestyle, by raising awareness of energy conservation and leaving a lighter carbon footprint.
